85 Located in the center of historic Windsor, Connecticut, The Blue Dragonfly is a unique gift shop with a purpose. As part of Family Partnerships of CT, an agency dedicated to assisting adults with special needs, The Blue Dragonfly provides individuals with jobs in the store and the community. Family Partnerships of CT was established in 2001 as a result of a service delivery gap between families, agencies and communities. The agency recognizes the growing needs of families and their ability to access resources and services for family members with disabilities. Family Partnership of CT will help determine the needs of the individual with special needs as well as their current situation. Goals and long range plans are established for the individual and family. In store training is ongoing. Our individuals take part in the Gift Shop by greeting customers, assisting with purchases and developing interpersonal skills. Product made in the store is also on display and available for purchase. There is something for everyone on your list. In addition to locally made jewelry and pottery there are bath products, books and games for children and adults. A large selection of candles provides a nice aroma while browsing. The clothing area has a variety of scarves, tops, dresses, handbags and more. Customers comment on the unique selection of cards. The Blue Dragonfly provides customers with a personal shopping experience. Special events are held to let customers know how much their business is appreciated.
